My name is Rachelle Baker. I am currently a sophomore at BYU and am a dance education major and math education minor. I feel that blogs can be used in a mathematical classroom by allowing for discussions and lectures of mathematical theories. Mathematical theories can be discussed in a technological way that allows people to learn from home. Problem sets can be done from home by publishing problems and the solutions.
Blogs can be used in a dance classroom by uploading choreography for others to learn or review quickly. Discussions of dance technique and principles can also occur through the use of blogs.
I love how this is exactly what you said on your Youtube video, like word for word! Haha. I think posting math problem sets and solutions will be a wonderful resource when your students need to study for exams. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI can see how blogs could really help in a dance classroom. I remember learning a new dance routine and then going home to practice and forgetting certain steps. Having a blog that showed the choreography would be a wonderful reference tool.
ReplyDeleteOf course Rachelle! You have to be resourceful...and it was the same question, after all. :) Love you much!
ReplyDeleteI think having a dance blog is a great idea. I also had a similar experience where I would go home and forget all the steps, which is probably why I no longer do dance ha. It also a great way for students to share their dance techniques with you as well!
